Refund & Cancellation Policy
Issued by Prepare Education Uganda. Governed by the laws of Uganda — including the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, 2017, the Contracts Act, 2010, and global consumer-rights principles such as good faith, fair dealing and proportional remedy.
1. Scope
This policy applies to all paid services: the AI A-Level Combination Predictor (per-student and school plans), Career Week, GenZ Compass, IELTS exam preparation and Study Abroad counselling.
2. Free trial
Three (3) student reports per counsellor are provided free of charge with no card or commitment. Free-trial usage is non-refundable as no payment is taken.
3. AI Combination Predictor — per-student plan (UGX 15,000)
A full refund is available within 7 days of payment provided no report has been generated for the paid student. Once a report is generated, the service is deemed delivered and no refund is due.
4. AI Combination Predictor — School Plan (UGX 2.5M per term, up to 170 students)
Within 14 days of payment and before more than 10 reports are generated, the school may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund minus a 10% administrative fee. After 14 days or after 10 reports, the term licence is non-refundable but transferable to the following term on written request.
5. Career Week packages (Starter UGX 8.5M, Silver UGX 13M, Premium UGX 32M)
A non-refundable booking deposit of 30% secures the date and speakers. The 70% balance is refundable up to 21 days before the event date. Within 21 days, 50% is refundable; within 7 days, the booking is non-refundable but may be rescheduled once, subject to speaker availability, at no extra fee.
6. GenZ Compass, IELTS prep & Study Abroad counselling
Prorated refund of any unused weeks is available within the first 14 days of the program. After 14 days, fees are non-refundable but credits may be transferred to another beneficiary in the same household or school.
7. Service failure on our part
If Prepare Education Uganda fails to deliver a paid service, you are entitled to a full refund or, at your option, a free re-delivery of equivalent value. This right is not affected by anything else in this policy and reflects the implied term of reasonable care and skill under section 51 of the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, 2017.
8. How to request a refund
Email travel.prepre@gmail.com or call 0708 192 953 with the payer's name, date of payment, amount, mobile-money or bank reference and the reason for the refund. Approved refunds are paid to the original payment channel within 14 working days.
9. Disputes
Any unresolved dispute may be referred to the Uganda National Bureau of Standards consumer-protection desk or the courts of Uganda. We commit to good-faith negotiation first, and to recognising any legitimate consumer-rights remedy under both Ugandan law and widely-accepted global practice.
